Multiple resources and agencies have been utilized in an effort to correctly identify address locations in Lawrence County Illinois. The card residents and commercial occpants receive is the final verification that the address is correctly entered into the Lawrence County E911 System.  However, people move, places change, and data can get mismatched.

For the first time in history, Lawrence County has GIS mapped every structure in the county.  It takes time and multiple resources to pinpoint a name, current address, and phone number to a particular point on a map.  The Illinois Commerce Commission requires E911 Systems to maintain a 99% correct addressing database.  Lawrence County E911 will always strive for 100% accuracy.
