NEW E911 ADDRESSES FOR BRIDGEPORT ZIP CODE 62417 RELEASED

New E911 Addresses have been mailed to all residential and commercial structures in the Bridgeport zip code 62417 on Monday October 1, 2012.

Residents or businesses that use a P.O. Box may continue to use them as normal. However, all residential and commercial structures must have an E911 address. Emergency service agencies will rely on this information to efficiently respond to an emergency at a residence or business when the enhanced version of the 911 system goes online.

The United States Postal Service WILL STOP DELIVERING MAIL to current/old addresses after one ( 1 ) year of residents or businesses receiving the notification cards. To avoid any interruption in mail or services that require a current mailing address, residents or businesses must verify that the information on the card is correct.

If the information on the card is CORRECT, then the new 911 address in blue on the card is the new address for that location and residents or businesses do not have to contact Lawrence County E911 addressing. It is recommended to wait 30 days before notifying or making changes to utility services billing or any other agency or service that requires a mailing or physical address. 30 days allows time for possible corrections by the United States Postal Service and E911. Also remember to change address on voter registration card at the Lawrence County Court House.

If the information on the card is NOT CORRECT, residents or businesses must contact Lawrence County E911 Addressing within 10 DAYS of receiving the notification/verification card. Failure to do so may result in interruption of services that require a mailing address. Contact Lawrence County E911 Addressing by email: address@lawrence911.com or call 618-945-7119
M-F 9am-5pm and the address will be corrected. If a residence or business in the Bridgeport zip code 62417 has not received a notification/verification card by Monday October 15th, contact Lawrence County E911 Addressing by
